Bike the US for MS started way back in 2007 with Don Fraser. He and some friends wanted to do something awesome; one thing led to another; Bike the US for MS was born. In 2009, 12 cyclists rode under the Bike the US for MS banner from Atlantic to Pacific, and it has continued growing since.

Bike the US for MS is a federally recognized 501c3 tax-exempt organization, with tax id: 27-219242. This means that you can deduct your contributions for tax purposes (On line 16 of Schedule A on your 1040, sorry about the overflow of accounting information).

Bike the US for MS  is growing exponentially, and is a well-managed organization that keeps administrative costs very low compared to even the highest-rated nonprofits.
